Farming
Liselund Estate encompasses approximately 170 hectares of arable farmland, nestled in the gently undulating terrain of eastern Møn. The fields are largely well-formed, naturally drained, and characterized by soil types JB 4-6, placing them in the upper range of Danish soil quality. Around 60-75% of the land is considered highly productive, ideal for the cultivation of cereal crops and oilseed varieties, which form the core of the crop rotation.
Farming at Liselund is carried out with care and respect-for both the land and the legacy it represents. While productivity is important, equal attention is given to the health of the soil and balance of the surrounding landscape. Field margins, hedgerows, and uncultivated strips are
maintained to support birds, insects, and wild plants, ensuring that biodiversity is woven into the rhythm of agriculture.
